Resolution on Srebrenica/ Council of Albanian Ambassadors: An important step for peace

The Council of Albanian Ambassadors has expressed clear support for the latest resolution of the United Nations, which condemns any denial of the Srebrenica genocide.

The Council of Albanian Ambassadors says that this genocide should serve as a sharp reminder of the collective responsibility to prevent such tragedies in the future.

According to the Council, the adoption of this resolution is an important step towards the advancement of stability, security and peace in our region.

"We stand in solidarity with the survivors and the families of the victims. The memory of Srebrenica should serve as a stark reminder of our collective responsibility to prevent such tragedies in the future.

By adopting this Resolution and designating July 11 as the "International Day of Reflection and Remembrance of the 1995 Genocide in Srebrenica", the International Community reaffirmed its commitment to promote peace, reconciliation and the protection of human rights.

The Council of Albanian Ambassadors considers the adoption of this Resolution as an important step towards the advancement of stability, security and peace in our region.

In addition, we encourage all parties, inside and outside Albania, to engage in the preparation and adoption of a resolution that recognizes and condemns the Serbian genocide in Kosovo", the statement emphasizes./ CNA
