Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha gave an interview to the Italian media "Libero", where he stated that the Albanian government sees more from Turkey than the European Union.

Berisha emphasized in his interview that Rama is doing everything to strengthen ties with Ankara.

"Unfortunately, there is a government in Tirana that sees more from Turkey than from the European Union. Prime Minister Edi Rama is doing everything to strengthen ties with Ankara more and more", declared the leader of the DP.

Among other things, he spoke about the depopulation of the country during these last years, saying that there has been no war that has destroyed the Albanians more than Rama.

 "In the last 8 years, over 31% of the population has emigrated to the countries of the European Union: More than half a million are young people under the age of 22. There has been no war that has destroyed us more than Edi Rama. Albania is losing its future", said Berisha./ CNA.al
