Former Foreign Minister, Ditmir Bushati says that Albania is mistakenly located in the region and that our country is not part of any conflict.

In an interview in "Real Story" on Abc Neës, Bushati said that our country has never been part of the former Yugoslavia, our only connection is the Albanians who lived in the former Yugoslavia, we are Mediterranean.

"I would not categorize the situation with Greece as a conflict under any circumstances. There will always be disagreements or bilateral issues, as long as there is life, as long as there are states. I think that when Albania joined NATO, it took a qualitative step towards its profile as a normal country. Not that Albania was threatened with war by another country, but from the point of view of political message and image, Albania's membership in NATO was very important. The status of the candidate country, the idea of ??opening negotiations also on a practical level, but also the important fact, Albania is mistakenly in the wrong country, there is no conflict. It was never part of the former Yugoslavia, our only connection is the Albanians who lived in the former Yugoslavia, we are Mediterranean. From the point of view of commercial and human exchanges, the main countries continue to be Italy and Greece. 20% of us live in Italy and Greece.
