The Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, in a joint conference with Prime Minister Edi Rama, has described Albania as a highly valued partner for Denmark.

Frederiksen declared that a stronger cooperation is needed, as he spoke about immigration, while emphasizing that he should continue with the support regarding the Russian aggression in Ukraine.

 Albania is a highly valued partner for Denmark and you are a highly valued NATO ally. I hope that we will build an even more complete partnership and I am sure of that. 10 days ago we also marked the 1st anniversary of the war in Ukraine and this was one of our main topics. You have reacted quite clearly in the Security Council, you have joined the sanctions from the beginning. But so it's a pretty strong part of opening negotiations. I know you have the capacity to do this and we support you in your direction here, I am sorry for the things you are experiencing in Albania because of the war. We need to work together on these issues as well. We need stronger cooperation when it comes to immigration. You are a very strong voice when it comes to European values,' said Mette.CNA.al
