Following investigations into illegal interventions in Tomorri Mountain, three house arrest security measures and one mandatory reporting measure were executed for AZDM Berat officials and a resident. 5 administrators of entities were declared wanted and materials were referred to the director and 1 person in charge of AZDM Berat.

In-depth investigations continue to hold those responsible for the damage to the protected area of ??Mount Tomorri criminally liable.

4 security measures determined by the Berat Court are being executed, for the criminal offense of "Abuse of office", committed in collaboration.

In this case, in November 2024, as a result of the controls carried out on Mount Tomorri, the Police services arrested 1 entity administrator, his brother and his cousin, after they were caught removing 1 excavator with which they were suspected of having extracted decorative stones. 5 entity administrators were also declared wanted and the materials were referred to the director and 1 person in charge of AZDM Berat.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Sector at the Berat DVP in cooperation with the Berat Prosecution Office, following the investigations within the framework of the criminal proceedings registered in November 2024, has executed 4 security measures determined by the Berat Court, for the criminal offense of "Abuse of office", committed in collaboration, as follows:

- the security measure "House arrest", for citizens:
- FN, 56 years old, resident of Berat, with the position of director of AZDM Berat;
- SH, 65 years old, resident of Berat, with the position of responsible for monitoring at AZDM Berat;
- LH, 37 years old, resident of Berat, with the position of responsible for monitoring at AZDM Berat.

-the security measure "Compulsory appearance", for citizen GZ, 58 years old, resident of Skrapar, Area Specialist, at the Skrapar Police Station;

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Berat, for further action./ CNA
