Plenary session/ Request for interpellation with Rama is rejected

The plenary session has begun in the Parliament. Speaker Niko Peleshi announced at the opening of the session the rejection of the request of the DP MP, Tritan Shehu, for an urgent interpellation with Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Peleshi also announced the reason for rejecting the request for an urgent interpellation with Rama.

"The object of the request is not directly related to an action or inaction of the Council of Ministers, but is mainly based on media reports. Under these conditions, the request does not meet the constitutional nature of the institution of parliamentary interpellation. Consequently, the request for urgent interpellation is not accepted ," said Peleshi. /CNA
