Berlin Summit/ 6 leaders of the Western Balkans sign the agreement

The leaders of the Western Balkans have signed the agreement for the Common Regional Market of the Western Balkans and for admission and study in Higher Education.

All 6 Balkan leaders signed in the presence of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and EC President Ursula Von der Leyen.

During the summit, Scholz underlined that he would personally commit to the normalization of Kosovo-Serbia relations.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on Monday that a new dynamic is needed in the process of normalizing relations between Kosovo and Serbia, while calling on both countries not to let the past stand in the way of a peaceful and prosperous future.

"I remain convinced that this future is in the European Union and there is only one path that leads there, the faithful and full implementation of the agreements you have already reached. I will continue to personally engage with both countries to ensure that we take advantage of this opportunity," said Chancellor Scholz./ CNA
