Balluku inspects the works for Lot 6 of the Great Ring Road: Ready for the

In lot number 6 of the Great Ring of Tirana, more than 70% of the works have been completed. Excavations and filling of the road body have been completed, while after the completion of the stabilizer, the laying of asphalt layers is expected to begin. The segment passes along the stream of Gjeroza, where interventions have been made to systematize and divert it, including the construction of retaining walls.

Even in this lot, work is being done at a fast pace so that the entire work will be ready for the circulation of vehicles at the end of this year. The Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, together with the Director of the Albanian Road Authority, Gentian Gjyli closely followed the progress of the works at this site.

"The progress of the works is satisfactory, it is according to the schedule. It has passed 70% of physical realism. All excavations, protective measures with walls have been completed, the junction on the "Myslym Keta" road is almost finished, which connects us with the Arbri Street and is an entrance gate to Tirana. The stabilizer has started and with its completion, from the middle of October, the asphalt layers can also begin", said Gjyli.

The Deputy Prime Minister, Balluku, emphasized the pace of the works to make possible the timely completion of this important work, not only for the capital. At the end of the year, Balluku said, the entire work, as promised, should be ready and accessible.

"We have set a deadline for the entire Ring, which must be completed within this year. Therefore, it is very important to have a coordination between the parties, given that here we have several lots working simultaneously", said Balluku.

Moving the power transmission and distribution lines has been another challenge in this project, where OST and DSO have had an important role and have intervened quickly to avoid delays in the progress of the site. The segment will be of category A, where the speed of vehicle movement will be high, while urban elements, greenery, lighting will also be part of it.

"The DSO and the OST have had an important role in the entire second part of the ring, from 'Shqiponja' and up to the Dajti roundabout, which then connects to the other part, that of the segment connected to the area of the Elbow. It has taken both the Transmission Operator and the Distribution Operator to be part of the working groups to move some of the main lines, both transmission and distribution, and even upgrading them. Where we had aerial ones, we went underground with ABC. This cooperation has been excellent, it has not created any delays for us and it must be said that it is very important in such cases for all components to coordinate", underlined Balluku.

Lot 6 has a length of 1.3 kilometers and starts after the roundabout of the Tirana-Dajt road. The axle is placed on the bed of the stream, which is included in a reinforced concrete corridor./ CNA
