Increased controls by the Traffic Police, in order to prevent road accidents with consequences for the lives of road users, to increase road safety parameters and to facilitate traffic during peak hours, due to the beginning of the school year .

Police services continuously monitor road axes, with modern logistics equipment, in order to identify violations that are the source of accidents.

During the last 2 weeks, 51 drivers of vehicles and motor vehicles were arrested for driving while intoxicated and/or without a driving license, as well as 31 motor vehicles were seized.

Also, as a result of monitoring the road axes of the district, with added services and modern logistics equipment:

• 1238 drivers were punished for speeding over the allowed rates;

• 514 vehicle drivers were punished for wrong passing;

• 420 drivers were punished for using mobile phones while driving;

• 280 motor vehicle drivers were punished for not wearing a protective helmet;

• 339 vehicle drivers were punished for not wearing seat belts;

• 480 vehicle drivers were punished for stopping or stopping the vehicle, in violation of road signs.

The Elbasan Road Police continues checks on all urban, interurban and rural road axes, with the aim of increasing road safety parameters. It also appeals for the strict implementation of road traffic rules, in favor of your life and health.
