The Albanian Road Authority has announced that during the night and in the early hours of this morning, there was heavy snowfall in the mountainous areas.

It is learned that measures have been taken to make the road axes accessible and without problems in circulation.

The contractors are in the field and are doing the cleaning, they are spreading salt on the road to keep the traffic of vehicles normal.

Drivers are also urged to be equipped with winter tires and chains when traveling to mountainous areas, to reduce speed, and to respect traffic police signs and instructions.

" During the night and in the early hours of the morning, snowfall has started in the mountainous areas, such as in Dardë, Lezhë-Vaudejes, Bogë-Theth, Hani i Hotit-Vermosh, without causing problems for traffic.

Contractors with tools and workers are on the ground to clean the roads, distribute the salt and keep traffic normal.

Be extra careful when driving in rainy weather, equip yourself with winter tires and chains when traveling to mountainous areas, reduce speed, respect the traffic signs and instructions of the Traffic Police", informs ARRSH./ CNA.al
