"Transparency Board", under discussion/ Balluku: We welcome the
Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku

Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku stated during a media conference that there is a discussion about the Transparency Board being stopped from functioning.

Balluku emphasizes that this issue belongs to the Ministry of Finance, but the decision to merge the Board is welcome, according to the minister.

The number two of the government said that the merger of the Board can be done after there is a stabilization of prices.  

 "The board does not intend to reduce costs, but transparency. The board does not set or raise or lower the price. But it makes the methodology transparent. That there is a stock exchange and through this methodology the ceiling price is set. Not even the ball moves the stock market. The board meets when there is a price change. We cannot decide when the board meets. Since the price has stabilized, we have a discussion about stopping the operation. It belongs to the Ministry of Finance and will be welcomed as a decision. The state will monitor even if the board does not exist", said the minister./ CNA.al
