DP leader Sali Berisha has accused chief negotiator Majlinda Dhuka of misleading parliament and public opinion during her reporting on the integration process and justice reform.
In a statement to the media, Berisha said that the government official was caught red-handed by presenting, according to him, figures that contradict the statistics of official Albanian institutions.
"A preliminary report I have from her report, she has been caught red-handed deceiving the parliament and public opinion in a way that distorts its face. She has given figures that are opposite to those given by the official institutions of Albania. Imagine how they deceive the EU, how deceptive this is."
If the ILD or the KLGJ declare that it takes 16 years to review a file - and in the latest report - to review a file, Edi Rama's fraudster said that this indicator is better than before the reform. Imagine what an irresponsible person this is.
Meanwhile, before the reform, and not before 2013, but in 2014, 2015, 2016, statistics show that it never took more than 3 to 4 years. Or 2 to 4 years.
And now 16 years. The last one at all. Or does it say that the stock of files has decreased at a time when the statistics of official justice institutions say that it has increased by another 4 thousand files. It was 143 thousand, according to their statistics, which they also hide, but now it is 147 thousand.
Do you understand how these fraudsters want to move forward, sending fraudulent statistics and trying to find false witnesses to certify their fraud? But the opposition is here to tell the truth. And this is just a fragment of its fraud. That I received partial information on the reporting it did. But it will be held responsible for the fraud it commits before Albanians and our European partners.
Regarding COELA, throughout all this time, we have publicly denounced the occult, mafia-like, secret practice that the Albanian government follows in the integration process, not informing either the parliament, the opposition, or the public. Nor civil society.
We have denounced it with the greatest force. The interim report, that it is not final, about the fundamentals, about rights, about justice, about the fight against corruption, and this Dhuka did not say a word about this. He did not mention a word about the Balluku file. He does not mention it because if he mentions the Balluku file, he will suffer like Ogerta or Elisa.
So, we come to COELA. COELA is a forum in Brussels of representatives of EU countries, to which when Albania is discussed, the Albanian government is also invited. When Serbia is discussed, the representative of the Serbian government is invited.
Where is the difference? Serbia, after every meeting that takes place, informs its people, its opposition, that the meeting took place, these problems were raised, these demands were presented, and these recommendations were made.
And for five months, I don't know for today, for five months the Albanian government has not said a single word, although thanks to press releases from Brussels, but also from our friends, it has been understood that although the report on Montenegro was voted unanimously, the report on Albania was not voted on. No, they said, we don't agree, Albania has problems.
And they have met many, many times so far. What happened? What happened is that the report was overturned. The Presidency has presented another report. It changed it based on the interventions of 9 countries because they did not agree. It was planned to hold an intergovernmental conference on, I am not mistaken, April 18 or 20. Yes, one of these two dates for sure.
It was not held. No, it was not called. Because the report was still in, it had not been voted on, it was not being voted on. They do not provide any data. They do not provide any explanation. Edi Rama owns it, he has owned the process. He is doing extraordinary damage to it. Why? Because today he is stigmatized.
You may find it surprising, but he identifies with Lubinja more than I identify with him. Because they are used to it. Have you understood? She decides everything, she is the shadow deputy prime minister. This other one who went there, she doesn't sign. And I congratulate her.
This, as they tell me, has stated that I only sign in accordance with the law, when the law allows me to. What, despite being appointed by Lubia, maybe they're starting to remember. What does she do? She comes to offices all day, to this one, to Karakaçi, to these.
She is the black shadow of the Council of Ministers. The shadow Deputy Prime Minister. And he thinks that they don't know, that others don't see it, that everyone sees it. Everyone has found out that Lubia has the power. We have done it, we have raised our voice.
And if you have read the report of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, the report in the most decisive way lays out the role of the parliament and the opposition in the integration process. Which they are, this one has excluded. But the report lays them out. It lays them out.
There is another very positive development. The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament, Mr. McAllister, precisely on this issue, in response to a letter that Ms. Tabaku addressed to him about these problems, about the exclusion of the opposition from the integration process, addresses a very important letter to the Commissioner for Enlargement, Ms. Marta Kos.
"So, these are the moments, and regarding today's debate or today's Coelho meeting, I have no information. I will try to provide information and of course I will inform Albanians according to the opportunity I have", said Berisha.
