OSCE-ODIHR report on the May 11 elections/ Celibashi calls on political and

Chief Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi has reacted to the OSCE/ODIHR final report on the May 11 parliamentary elections.

Celibashi has called on all political and institutional actors to work seriously and responsibly on the findings and recommendations of the report for the May 11 elections.  

He emphasizes that political parties, especially parliamentary ones, must commit to completing the Electoral Reform within one year.  

Celibashi's reaction: 

It will be a sign of seriousness and institutional and political responsibility of all actors related to the electoral process to work on the findings and recommendations of the ODIHR Final Report on the May 11 elections, as a complete overview of these elections.  

Judgments and assessments upon judgments and assessments by “election judges” are of no use. Political parties, especially parliamentary ones, should commit to completing a meaningful electoral reform within a year.  

Regarding the CEC: The positive evaluations - for almost everything this institution did regarding the preparation and administration of these elections - are an incentive to do even better what needs to be done. / CNA
