The MP and the chairperson of the Democratic Party of Lezha, Lindita Metaliaj, has announced that around 1200 protesters have left for Tirana today to protest. From Lezha, the deputy stated that every citizen has 1001 reasons to protest today.

She described Rama as the architect of the mass departure of Albanians, while emphasizing that the McGonigal scandal was the icing on the cake of national and international corruption.

"Today is a historic date not only for DP but for the entire opposition and Albanian people. It's the day when the countdown begins against Edi Rama. Obviously the turnout is massive. Every resident of Lezha has asked to join this protest. About 1,200 protesters have been organized from Lezha. There are other starting points from other administrative units and from the cathedral of the city of Lezha. Every resident of Lezha and every citizen has 1001 reasons to protest today. The McGonigal scandal was just the icing on the cake of massive national and international corruption. Rama is the architect of the departure of the Albanians", says Metaliaj./ CNA.al
