Albania will supply coal to North Macedonia and Serbia. With this fuel, the two countries will produce more energy, and some will be returned to our country.

"Serbia and RMV buy this from other countries and they have asked us for cooperation, so by taking our coal we can benefit from a part of the energy produced by them" , said Minister Belinda Balluku from Belgrade.

This is the alternative that the governments of the Open Balkans have chosen in the crisis that the energy system is going through, since the Albanian underground hides large deposits of coal.

"In our country we have deposits amounting to 700 million tons, it would be good if they were used by our neighbors", the minister told Eurones Albania.

Unlike Albania, which produces electricity through water, from hydropower plants, in North Macedonia and Serbia, electricity is produced by burning fossil materials, which increases gas emissions into the atmosphere.
