Protests/Muka: They are asking Rama to put on his pants because until now he has

Pedagogue and former Deputy Minister of Education, Taulant Muka, has spoken about the protest against the government.

Muka said that there are groups from all sides in the protest. He declared that the time has come to put aside divisions and build a state.

Muka emphasized that society is reacting, asking a prime minister to step down.

"First of all, the world is seeing how civilized we Albanians are when we are united. In that protest, you noticed it, you were on the ground yourself, there are people from all sides. You have the left, you have the right, Christians, Orthodox, Muslims, you have the pro-family, you have the Sorosians, the anti-Sorosians, they are all there. They are all there to unite for a common goal that we do not have... the time has come to leave the divisions and build a state.

They have been playing for 36 years and have not built a state. Recently, society is reacting, asking a prime minister: finally, we have given you enough time to put on your pants, because until now you have led us in panties, because such is the official dress of the prime minister when he goes to international institutions. And this is what I see. As for the international media, so to speak, all circumstances have come together in support of the Albanians.

No, I'm not from the field, but apparently yes. So we have a clash within the SP that is in our interest, we also have a clash in the United States of America and international institutions that is also in our support.

It has gained extraordinary visibility. We had the prime minister's tragicomedy with international journalists. It was our fate that the abnormal behavior of a prime minister gave him visibility all over the world.

So today, not only Albanians have seen it, the whole world has seen what kind of state we are dealing with. A state that does not listen to its citizens, a state that will not understand its citizens, a state that will not develop the potential of Albanians.

And you recently had the reaction of the European Union Office that came out in support of the protests. So, all the situations come out in favor of, let's say, the Albanian nation. And this is a situation that we should all enjoy, we should all unite as we see the situation on the ground.

And I always think that here we are not just dealing with issues of names, we need to move away from the myth of names, whether in the Democratic Party, whether in the Socialist Party, or even those citizens who are on the ground, we need to focus on the system.

We have killed meritocracy, we have killed intellectualism, in terms of parties, in terms of institutions, there are people who generally lack the education needed for that level of representation. Fair competition has been killed, so to speak, in all institutions.

All power is centralized in two or three individuals, whether in the party or in the state. And the time has come for us to fight to build a dignified representation where every institution is independent. Even the cleaner in quotes is an institution, no one touches it. And this is the beauty of this protest”, said Muka during an interview./ CNA
