Protest in North Macedonia/ Bus with Albanian students stopped in Bllate

A bus with students from Albania, who were leaving to participate in the announced protest in Skopje, was stopped this Monday at the Bllata border crossing in Dibër.

The news was reported by Albanian media in North Macedonia, while images have been published on social networks showing students disembarking near the bus, waiting for clarification from border authorities.

Albanian students in North Macedonia have called for a civic protest to demand the use of the Albanian language in the Jurisprudence exams. The rally is expected to be held this afternoon in front of the Stone Bridge in Skopje, with the participation of students from the Albanian regions.

The organizers have stated that the protest aims to raise their voices against the disrespect of the linguistic rights of Albanian students. They demand that exams can also be held in Albanian, in accordance with the laws and rights guaranteed in the country./ CNA
