Tensions between employees at Vlora Airport / The concessionaire company reacts

The Vlora Airport concessionaire (VIA) has reacted regarding the tense situation this morning, where employees of the "Mabco" company were not allowed to enter the premises.

Through a response, the Concessionary Company has shared details of the event, clarifying the circumstances.

Based on the statement, the road blockage has nothing to do with any conflict between the partners of the concession company, but only the termination of the contractual relationship with the contractor for carrying out construction works within the framework of the Vlora Airport project.

"Regarding the road blockage by several subcontractors, we clarify to the public and all interested parties that this situation has nothing to do with any conflict between the partners of the concession company."

The matter in question relates exclusively to a contractual relationship between the concessionaire Vlora International Airport VIA and one of the companies contracted to carry out construction works within the framework of the Vlora Airport project.

The contractor in question has resulted in significant delays in fulfilling its obligations, in violation of the contractually established deadlines. For this reason, the concession company has terminated the contractual relationship with this contractor, in accordance with the terms of the contract and the relevant obligations.

We emphasize that any claims or interpretations that link this situation to the relationship between the partners are untrue and misleading. This is simply a contractual issue between the concessionaire and one of the many contractors engaged in the project.

"The concessionaire remains committed to continuing the works and implementing the Vlora Airport project in accordance with the standards, deadlines and contractual obligations," the company explains. /CNA
