"Safety in schools, priority"/ Hita- police stations: Crack down on drug sales and possession of cold weapons

The Director General of the State Police, Skënder Hita, has ordered increased security measures in schools and a crackdown on the distribution of narcotics near educational institutions.

In a telegram addressed to police stations and police departments across the country, Hita requested that school safety be a priority.

It has also ordered periodic and surprise checks to be carried out not only with visible services but also with civilian agents.

According to reports, the order includes maintaining contact with school security officers and institution leaders for problematic students, regarding conflicts or information about possession of cold weapons.

Meanwhile, entities near schools that market prohibited products such as alcohol and tobacco to the under-18 age group. /CNA
