Opposition protest/ Police publish plan of measures

Tirana Police has published the plan of measures in the context of the opposition protest. The protest will start at 6:00 PM.

In the announcement made, the police announced that from 3:00 PM until the end of the protest, traffic will be blocked on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard, from the intersection near the Ministry of Interior to "Mother Teresa" Square, as well as on "Ukraine e Lirë", "Papa John Paul II" and "Ismail Qemali" streets.

Police warn that there may be restrictions on other roads as well.

Tirana/Based on and in implementation of the law "On Gatherings", Tirana Police has taken all measures to guarantee public order, the implementation of the rights and freedoms of citizens and participants in today's gathering, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, in front of the Prime Minister's Office.

In implementation of these measures, in order to guarantee the smooth running of the rally, movement will be restricted on several road axes/segments today, specifically:

From 3:00 PM until the end of the rally, there will be a traffic jam on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard, from the intersection near the Ministry of Interior to "Mother Teresa" Square, as well as on "Ukraine e Lirë", "Papa John Paul II" and "Ismail Qemali" streets.

Depending on the development of the rally, there may be restrictions on vehicle traffic on other road axes. In case of blockage, to help citizens who will circulate on these axes, Tirana Police has taken measures to divert vehicle traffic to alternative routes.

Tirana Police appeals to citizens to avoid driving on road axes that will be blocked and to use alternative routes, so as not to impede the free movement of participants in the rally.
