The General Directorate of Road Transport Services (GDRTRS) has reacted today after the Fier Prosecutor's Office requested the security measure 'compulsory appearance' for 10 officials of the Fier Regional Directorate of the Regional Service, as it is suspected, in their capacity as technical inspection specialists, of having passed various vehicles in the technical inspection, despite technical defects.
The DPSHTRR explains that, in 2023, it undertook an internal administrative control against several employees mentioned in this matter. As a result, disciplinary measures were taken, up to suspension and dismissal from duty, in all cases where violations of administrative procedures or violations of public service ethics were found.
DPSHTRR emphasizes that in February 2024, at the conclusion of the internal audit, administrative measures were taken against 7 employees, of which: 1 termination of employment and 6 suspensions, demotions and exclusions from the vehicle technical inspection sector. /CNA
