What has changed for the Supreme Court to release Erion Veliaj from prison?

Today it was announced that the High Court session on October 2nd has been postponed following Erion Veliaj's requests to change the security measure of prison arrest.

In fact, a Supreme Court decision was issued on July 8th that left the mayor of Tirana in prison.

The Court of Fact, the GJKKO, and the GJKKO Appeal have also issued decisions, all levels, from the Court of Fact to the Supreme Court, have left Erion Veliaj in prison.

The decision is dated July 8, 2025, a hearing was held, the lawyers were heard, and the panel of judges made a decision.

In fact, today we are 2 months later, the next session will take place in October.

What has changed from the situation in July when the Supreme Court refused to release Erion Veliaj from prison to releasing him in October when the date has been set?

The only change could be for the City Council and the Council of Ministers to quickly dismiss him and then, after this dismissal, the Supreme Court, perhaps to set a precedent, if the trial dates coincide with the dismissal issue.

So, given that there is a new circumstance, which is that Erion Veliaj is no longer mayor and there is no way to tamper with the evidence, he can be taken home, but if he continues to be in office and does not resign, what is the reason and what has changed for the Supreme Court to release or change the security measure for Mayor Veliaj?
