The Tirana Prosecutor's Office has sent the files of 56 students of the Security Academy who were poisoned a few weeks ago to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for further examination.

According to reports, the Prosecution has also sent a letter to the National Food Authority, requesting information about the blocking and then unblocking of the activity of the company "Sori-Al". Investigators aim to find out if there were other controls and what the results were.

We recall that after the event, the AKU announced the cessation of activity for the entity "SORI-AL" and at the address "Skënderbej" Garrison near the Armed Forces. It also fined the entity with the value of 1,500,000 lek for unsafe food and hygienic-sanitary conditions.

A few days later, the AKU announced the unblocking of the activity of "SORI-AL" with the justification that after analyzing samples for environmental hygiene and work equipment within the kitchen premises of the Security Academy, Sauk and within the kitchen premises of the Garrison, of the Armed Forces, the hygiene indicators have resulted within the norms. In the meantime, an official expert report from the Forensic Medicine is awaited for the poisoning of the students. /CNA
