Bari Prosecutor Giussepe Gatti, at the conference on the joint operation between Albanian and Italian law enforcement authorities, stated that the gangs confirm their criminal level in the way they commit murders.

He also said that investments and profits made in Italy are laundered illegally in Albania. Gatti stressed that these phenomena should not be underestimated but should receive the attention of the authorities.

We also have a mafia here that is related to their codes and the way they behave. It is interesting in one part of this investigation that the one accused of this murder justifies this crime by saying that the rules of not a contract but of a family were not followed. The data has to do with modernity, which means they have very good technological knowledge. The investments they make and then transfer them to Albania for illegal laundering. This was a synergistic model that we made together and made possible and the connection of how this phenomenon worked. Only by working together can we fight it.
