Traffic police with an "iron fist"/ 38 drivers are arrested, 145

The Traffic Police announces that due to violations of traffic rules, during this week 145 driving licenses were suspended and 38 drivers were arrested.

Meanwhile, 27,558 administrative measures have been imposed across the country.

Intensive monitoring by the Traffic Police services throughout the country.

Due to the flow of movements, especially in coastal areas, in order to identify and punish violations that are the source of road accidents, mobile patrols have been added, using intelligent speed measuring tools, police scanners, automatic radars, high-quality drones, draggers and telescopes.

Special teams of the Traffic Police are scheduled to serve in the Llogara tunnel, which is monitored 24 hours a day with cameras and speedometers, to prevent violations of traffic rules during traffic in the tunnel.

As a result of monitoring in all road axes and urban centers, during one week:

- 145 driving licenses were suspended, for speeding above the permitted rates, for driving under the influence of alcohol/in a drunken state, and for driving in the opposite direction;

- 38 drivers were arrested, of these for driving while intoxicated and for driving without a driving license.

Also, 27,558 administrative measures have been imposed throughout the country, of which:

. 7098 for speed exceeding the permitted rates;
. 1234 for using a mobile phone while driving;
. 1456 for not using the seat belt;
. 3434 for wrong passes;
. 387 for not wearing a protective helmet;
. 226 for dangerous maneuvers on the road;
. 289 for driving under the influence of alcohol;
. 11345 for wrong parking;
. 2089 for other violations.

The Road Police Services will intensively continue the monitoring on all urban, interurban and rural roads, using the intelligent tools and modern logistic base at their disposal, in order to increase road safety parameters.

The Traffic Police appeals to all drivers of vehicles and motor vehicles, to strictly implement traffic rules, to use alternative routes, to stay in line when there is a slowdown in the movement of vehicles in cases of traffic, to give priority to pedestrians and not to make wrong passes or dangerous maneuvers in urban centers and national axes.

Also, truck drivers must strictly implement movement restrictions during the weekend and official holidays.
