Work is progressing on the Elbasan-Librazhd axis/ Two tunnels near the Murrashi bridge

Works on the construction of the new Elbasan-Librazhd road, as part of Corridor 8, have progressed.

During the month of October, near the Murrashi bridge, the work on the opening of the tunnels started.

In Murrash, two round-trip tunnels with a length of about 500 meters each will be opened.

One of the tunnels is in the initial stage of opening, while the other is expected to start soon.

The entrance to the train tunnel, known as "Murrashi Tunnel no. 1", is marked with a yellow arch and is currently blocked due to works.

After the construction of two tunnels for the passage of vehicles, it is planned to build another tunnel for the railway line.

This road segment has been described as one of the most difficult points due to the broken terrain and the constant risk of rock slides, which often block the existing road./ CNA
