Eavesdropping devices seized in Durrës/ Journalism: There are many

Journalist Ferdinand Dervishi has provided new details regarding the eavesdropping devices seized in Durrës, which are suspected of having been introduced into our country by three Italian citizens.

Invited to "The Unexposed", Dervishi said that the people whose devices were seized work for the Italian police and anti-mafia.

The journalist said that this event was kept secret, while also sharing details about how the captured device works. Dervishi said that there are many questions regarding this event.

"There are people who came from Italy, who work on behalf of the legal structures of the Italian state, the police structures, the anti-mafia, they came, but we don't know the exact time. Klodi says for twelve hours, we don't know the exact time or what. I know that the event happened a few days ago, not two days ago, three or four days ago. It was kept quite secret and there is an information blackout.

It is not uncommon for such a device to be installed in Albania. That device, when it approaches an antenna, duplicates it, pretends to be a telephone antenna, let's say it's in Dajt, and it pretends to be such, capturing according to them a number that they may have of a cell phone or something like that, or without a number at all, captures a certain traffic and identifies a certain traffic of calls.

It could have been used for two hours for a meeting like the one in Aruba, it could have been used for organized crime, it could have been used for politics, it could have been used for many things. There are many question marks. Klodi said twelve hours, but it could have been here for two days, a week, a month.

This device is no surprise. When we asked artificial intelligence whether these devices hold information or transmit information, it answered that the information is lost, transmitted. So, they did not need to hold the device because it is of no importance to the Italians. As far as I know, there has been a very big debate about whether to ban these or not. A debate that has entered political and diplomatic lines, very strongly and ultimately the Italians who allowed them have triumphed. So, it is an interception", said Dervishi. /CNA
