The Elbasan Prosecutor's Office has launched investigations into the city's incinerator.

It is learned that after SPAK, the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office has registered the criminal file.

We recall that initially the investigation was opened for the criminal offense of "Destruction of property by fire" and "Air pollution". This concerns the fire that engulfed the Elbasan incinerator in July 2023.

The prosecution is investigating the causes of this fire and the impact on the environment.

The prosecutor in the case, Xhelian Seferi, has expanded the investigations even further, including, in addition to Article 151, Article 248 of the Criminal Procedure Code, which includes the criminal offense of "Abuse of Office".

The prosecution is now also investigating the company 'Eco Alb' for the criminal offense of 'abuse of office'. /CNA
