Training of police officers for local elections begins/ Rrumbullaku: We will

Today, the training of police officers, who will be charged with duties in the local elections of May 14, has begun.

During his speech, the General Director of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, thanked the OSCE ambassador to Albania, Guido De Sanctis, and the head of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi.

He emphasized with certainty that the State Police will only implement the law, as it has done in all election processes.

“Falënderoj Ambasadorin e OSCE-së në Shqipëri, për mbështetjen e vazhdueshme që OSCE-ja i ka dhënë dhe po i jep Policisë shqiptare, mbështetje e cila faktohet edhe sot, përmes këtij trajnimi të organizuar për punonjësit e Policisë së Shtetit, për t’i përmbushur plotësisht dhe me efektivitet, detyrat funksionale para, gjatë dhe pas procesit zgjedhor që do të zhvillohet këtë vit.

Gjithashtu, falënderoj  Kryetarin e  Komisionit Qendror të Zgjedhjeve z. Celibashi dhe Prokurorin e Përgjithshëm, për angazhimin e tyre në këtë trajnim. Roli i Prokurorisë së Përgjithshme në këtë proces, është thelbësor, pasi kontrollon e certifikon veprimet procedurale që punonjësit e Policisë kryejnë para, gjatë dhe pas procesit zgjedhor.

I assure citizens, political entities, law enforcement agencies and our partners that the State Police will only implement the law, as it has done in all election processes, actions which have been certified by OSCE-ODIHR.

For the State Police, the law, the state and the citizens are primary," said Rumbullaku./ CNA.al
