The National Program for the Professional Development of Teachers is launched

The Ministry of Education and Sports, through ASCAP in cooperation with the main universities of the country, has started the training of teachers within the National Program for the Professional Development of Teachers for the academic year 2024-2025.

The program began with the training of teachers from schools in Durrës, Korçë, Elbasan and Tropoja, and will expand to include more than 4,000 teachers from all over Albania by the end of 2024. The goal is to train over 16,000 teachers in the country, equipping them with knowledge and skills that will positively affect the quality of education.

The program is supported by 7 public universities known for excellence in teacher education, including the University of Tirana, Elbasan, Durres, Korça, Vlora, Gjirokastra, and Shkodra.

These institutions offer specialized training in Mathematics, Science, Language, and Primary Education, preparing teachers for the challenges of teaching in the digital age.

Educators and trainers selected for their expertise are providing continuous and personalized support for teachers, guaranteeing quality and practice-oriented professional development.
