Niko Peleshi: Save the FA from the mud, don't involve it in politics

The Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi, has responded to the statements of Ferdinand Xhaferri in the Assembly, who accused that 1 million euros are being taken from Albanian taxes to pay Police employees.

"Today we will discuss the arrears of the police, we will discuss the law on the arrears of the employees of the police. Act in 2024 to fund this bill. Where has the state been all these years? What has the Ministry of Defense done? Why weren't the right decisions made? 1 million euros are taken from taxes and the employees of the Police are paid. It's all about the state's neglect of them. In 2024, we approve the salaries for 2017. When it comes to affairs, the mechanism works", said Xhaferri in the Assembly. 

Pelesi asked to save the Armed Forces from the mud and not involve it in politics.

"The opposition should save the FA from mud and this kind of culture. FA is green, not red, nor blue, nor pink. It represents the sovereignty of this country. Do not include it in politics, especially at this moment when peace and security are threatened", said Peleshi./ CNA
