The head of SPAK, Arben Kraja, has stated that the investigation of corruption at official levels is difficult.

He made this statement while speaking about ministers and MPs under investigation, during an interview on RTSH.

Kraja, hiding behind investigative secrecy, has only mentioned issues that SPAK has in its hands and has not clarified with facts why it is difficult for senior officials to investigate.

Or to talk by name about who are the high officials, ministers, and MPs, who "threaten" and put under "pressure" SPAK, calling them out.

"Corruption? Investigating senior officials is a challenge in itself. We have had cases of investigations or convictions by the vetting for corruption. We have had investigations and punishments for high officials in public procurement. The central Directorate of Public Procurement has been found guilty. We are also investigating at the level of ministers and deputies, such as that of incinerators. We have issues with Gërdec, which has been reopened", he said.

Arben Kraja leaves the mandate as the head of SPAK in December, but not the prosecutor's office and it cannot be justified with the argument that the investigation of officials is a challenge in itself, when the only challenge should be the implementation of the law, as for an official of high, minister or deputy as well as for an ordinary citizen. /CNA.al
