The price of energy is reduced from February 1/The decision will affect only family members

The price of electricity will be reduced starting from February 1 for households that will consume more than 800 kilowatt-hours of electricity per month.

The government's proposal to reduce electricity was presented by Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku a few months ago, who emphasized that the decision comes after the positive performance of public energy companies.

Meanwhile, the Energy Regulatory Authority will begin reviewing the application for the retail price for the Universal Service, which will be valid for the period February 1-December 31, 2025.

The price reduction will affect only family consumers, leaving unchanged the rates for businesses, budgetary and non-budgetary institutions, as well as for some other consumers such as bakeries.
