Security expert, Ervin Karamuço, has spoken about the connections between Prime Minister Edi Rama and the arrested former FBI official, Charles McGonigal.

Karamuço said on Eni Vasili's show that the evidence for McGonigal's ties to Albania is still in the process of being collected.

He stated that the Albanian case came up during the wiretapping of the Russian case and was not investigated independently.

"This gentleman was not investigated and was not kept under observation, he was not tapped for the Albanian case, but the Russian one. During the interceptions and investigations, the Albanian issue also came up. When the case went to court, in addition to the case of the Russians, the jury was not clear as to why he took money from the Albanians. Therefore, his position should be clarified with the Albanian intelligence officer and every other Albanian.
