The head of the Jewish community in Albania, Amos Dojaka, has commented on the war situation in Gaza.

During an interview in Euronews Albania, he stated that he has relatives in Gaza, saying that when the alarm sirens sound, they enter the security rooms. He explains that the events happening there are shocking.

" We hear stories from the most shocking, a father delighted to find his 10-year-old daughter dead, was more relieved to know that his daughter was a prisoner of Hamas. I have my people in Israel who are close to the Gaza Strip. At the moment they are fine, but under constant air defense sirens. The shells are continuous," he said.

He added that the number of Albanian Jews who have gone to Israel is around 500 people, while in Albania their number is small.

"The number of Jews in Albania is a small number. Since March 1991, the vast majority of Jews who lived in Albania have gone to Israel and live very well. It is a figure of around 500 people who fled to Israel and are an integrated part of Israel. they live in Bersheva in the south of Israel, in the north, we are scattered in several countries. While in Albania the number of Jews is small, I also fled, lived in Israel and returned to Albania", said Amos Dojaka./ CNA
