The General Prosecutor, Olsian Çela, spoke at the General Assembly of Prosecutors about the assassinations planned by Laert Haxhi's gang against a former prosecutor and another in office.

Çela said that the people who planned the assassination of the prosecutors should be punished before the law.

He requested that all magistrates be united in order to discourage people who threaten them because of their duty.

The General Prosecutor stated that due to these events, justice is going through a difficult period, as it has lost the trust of the citizens.

"For the endangered lives of our two colleagues, they should be punished before the law. We must be more united and we must stand together committed to duty. These will deter anyone who threatens magistrates.

We are going through a difficult period, there is low public opinion trust in us.

The country needs independent magistrates and they must face difficult challenges, we must be proud of our daily work.

Many dangerous criminals are serving time thanks to your work. We prosecutors will continue to do our work", emphasized Çela./ CNA
