"K'cimi i Tropoja" officially part of UNESCO/ Rama: Progress in the promotion of heritage values

"K'cimi i Tropoja" was officially declared part of the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in UNESCO.

After the positive evaluation by the UNESCO Evaluation Organization, during the 19th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, in Asuncion, Paraguay, "K'cimi i Tropoja" is now part of the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Prime Minister Edi Rama in a post on "Facebook" writes that this is good news for the promotion of the values ??of this heritage until yesterday abandoned under the dust of oblivion.

"K'cim i Tropoja", also known as "K'cim Veni", is a festive dance that has maintained its vitality over the centuries. It includes elements of performing arts, oral traditions, rituals and festive events. Throughout the years, this tradition has remained a symbol of identity and unity for the inhabitants of Tropoja and the Highlands of Gjakova"

The registration of this element in the Representative List of UNESCO helps in the international promotion of the Albanian cultural heritage, protecting it for future generations. /CNA
