"You are a force of good in the world"/ George Bush congratulates the

George W. Bush, the first US President in office to visit Albania, today sent a congratulatory message on the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the US and Albania.

In 2007, I was proud to become the first sitting US president to visit Albania.

Laura and I will never forget the time we spent in your honest country and your commitment to democracy and strong relations with the US.

Kujtoj gjithashtu pasionin tuaj për zhvillim dhe tolerancë. Jam i lumtur të shoh Shqipërinë dhe SHBA teksa vijojnë të punojnë përkrah si aleatë në NATO dhe në KS të OKB, duke mbrojtur demokracinë paqen dhe të drejtat e njeriut”, shkruan Bush.

Unë dhe Laura dërgojmë përshëndetjet dhe urimet tona më të ngrohta për mbarë popullin shqiptar teksa festojmë 100-vjetorin e marrëdhënieve diplomatike mes SHBA dhe Shqipërisë. Ky gur kilometrik i veçantë është një dëshmi e miqësisë midis dy vendeve tona të përbashkëta demokratike.

Në vitin 2007, isha krenar që u bëra presidenti i parë i SHBA në detyrë që vizitonte Shqipërinë.

Laura dhe unë nuk do ta harrojmë kurrë kohën që kaluam në vendin tuaj të sinqertë dhe përkushtimin tuaj ndaj demokracisë dhe marrëdhënieve të forta me SHBA.

I also remember your passion for development and tolerance. I am happy to see Albania and the USA as they continue to work side by side as allies in NATO and the UNSC, protecting democracy, peace and human rights.

The Albanian spirit that never stopped striving for freedom and your faith tradition to extend a helping hand to people in need are values ??that I hope will become examples for others. Albania is a force for good in the world and the US is proud to have you as a friend and ally.
