The former minister appears before SPAK

Former Minister Olta Xhaçka appeared before SPAK today. The details of her summons to SPAK are not yet known.

We recall that it was previously reported that the former Foreign Minister is under investigation by the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office in connection with several tenders when she was Minister of Defense, while her mandate as a member of parliament was about to be revoked, due to the declaration of her husband, Artan Gaçi, as a strategic investor.

Olta Xhaçka has been to the Special Prosecution Office several times for questioning, in her capacity as a person who has knowledge regarding the privatization of the military's naval bases.

Xhaçka is under investigation following a complaint made earlier by Artur Mecollari, who has filed a number of Defense Ministry officials, including then-Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka, on charges of abuse of office.

Some time ago, the prosecution placed a large area of ??land in the port of Limioni under preventive seizure, which was owned by the army and, according to the report, was rented to various businessmen in violation of the law.

Xhaçka is also accused of directly benefiting from public goods when she was part of the 'Rama' government through decisions of the Strategic Investment Committee in favor of companies owned by her husband, former socialist MP Artan Gaçi, and other family members of the minister.
