Wanted by SPAK/ The Supreme Court in Brazil issues an arrest warrant for Ervin

The Supreme Court in Brazil has issued an arrest warrant for SPAK's most wanted fugitive, Ervin Mata.

Minister Alexandre de Moraes ordered the preliminary arrest of Ervin Mata, 38, who lives in Brazil.

The arrest warrant was issued on March 11, but the decree was only published on September 23. The case is being processed confidentially at the Federal Supreme Court (STF) as part of an extradition request. Ervin Mata has not yet been arrested.

The Albanian government has filed a request with the Brazilian courts for the businessman's extradition. In Albania, he is accused of drug trafficking and participation in a criminal organization.

Mata has been internationally wanted since November 2023.

Four cocaine shipments seized in 2021 in the Netherlands, Brazil, Germany and Spain have become the subject of an investigation by the SPAK special prosecution office, against members of Ervin Mata's group, known for the gunfight in the former Bllok with Ervis Martinaj several years ago.

It concerns a quantity of 931 kg of cocaine and various types of narcotics, which were seized in four countries and SPAK has proven that the organizers of the shipment of cocaine from Latin American countries to Europe were precisely Albanians, led by Ervin Mata./ CNA
