"He was pressured from outside"/ Tomorri: Edi Rama has changed his

Journalist Klodian Tomorri said today that Edi Rama's change of stance towards SPAK is related to some pressure that was personally exerted on him from outside.

During a discussion on a television show, Tomorri stated that Rama has changed his tone towards SPAK for other reasons.

Tomorri added that another reason could be personal fear, which could be, not with Rama personally, but for his family members who may have a score to settle with the justice system.

"I find it very difficult to believe that Edi Rama backed down from the EU's positive pressure on the issue of opening chapters, because this is the man who has held Albania hostage for years for a chairman of the Fier district council, who said, 'Give us the mandate' and held the country hostage for 3 years."

So Edi Rama doesn't have to worry about pressures saying, "No, we're going to let you into the EU." I have the impression that he will find somewhere to continue living in this uncontrolled sultanate of his.

The reasons why Edi Rama has changed his tone towards SPAK, I tend to think, are different.

Perhaps he made his own electoral calculations and thought it was better not to have a head-on clash with SPAK.

Another reason could be personal fear, which could be, not with Rama personally, but for his family members who may have a score to settle with the justice system.

Or in the case of external pressure, I would be more inclined to believe that it is underground pressure that has nothing to do with opening chapters or advancing negotiations, but is directly related to the person.

"Perhaps there may have been pressure of this nature from outside," said Klodian Tomorri. /CNA
