March 8 is a marked day for every woman, but especially for those women whose lives are endangered every day by domestic and gender-based violence. And finally, also from violence and bullying on the Internet, as we have witnessed in the last year with dozens of cases, when there were also those who ended their lives in difficult psychological conditions. These are women for whom life is a difficult downhill, who are living dark moments in their lives and need a ray of hope.

So Vodafone Albania and Vodafone Albania Foundation organized this year, just like last year, a hiking event with the mission to raise funds for a shelter that takes care of girls and women in difficult conditions, such as "Rozalba House", in Lezhë .
Mali i Dajti was chosen as the path again, but this time, the raising of funds was also achieved thanks to the contribution of dozens of citizens who became part of the hiking through a modest payment. In cooperation with the "Smile" platform from Credins Bank, Vodafone Albania Foundation has managed to provide more than 5,000 euros for "Rozalba House", in Lezhë.

Political personalities, government representatives, such as Romina Kuko, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Chairman of the Municipal Council, Mrs. Elvana Hana, Executive Director of the "Credins" Foundation, representatives of organizations such as Michelle Ribotta from UN Women Albania, but also media personalities such as Erla Mëhilli, moderator and author of "Now" on Euronews, Isli Islami, Deborah Keçi and Anxhi Çeliku.

In the last year alone, dozens of girls and women have fallen prey to gender-based violence, many as a result of bullying and online pressure. Gender-based violence is violence against the whole society, because it endangers the lives of not only women, but also children and Albanian families every day. But all of us together can make a difference and bring some light into the lives of victims of domestic and gender-based violence. #NdizNjëShprese is a slogan that raises awareness and inspires us to be part of the solution to this problem.

Vodafone Albania Foundation has girls and women victims of violence in the center of attention. The Brightsky platform and application , which has already been downloaded tens of thousands of times in the Play Store and App Store , offers counseling and help through technology to anyone who feels threatened by domestic or gender-based violence.
Even this March, thanks to the #Shinealight hiking event , which has already become a beautiful tradition, we witnessed that, together, we can climb the highest peaks and overcome the biggest challenges!
