The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, visited the Albanian Muslim Committee today.

In his speech after leaving the KMSH, Berisha said that after May 11, Friday prayers will be determined by law and schedule.

The DP leader congratulated the Eid al-Fitr holiday, which he called a day of honor for all those who fasted. Berisha said that after May 11, the fund for religious communities will be doubled.

" I came to congratulate Eid al-Fitr, the president of the Muslim Community, His Grace Bujar Spahiu, his associates, and on this occasion, all believers who have fasted and all believers in God, on this day of honoring devotion, human sacrifice to the great God, and the best divine values.

I took the opportunity to pledge to the President of the Muslim Community and all Albanians that, after May 11, the first decisions will be to double the fund for religious communities, a fund that is necessary and fully belongs to them. Similarly, a major effort will be made to return their properties, or compensate them, since the properties of religious communities are the most looted properties in Albania. Thirdly, I guarantee, and I also guaranteed the President of the Muslim Community and I guarantee Muslim believers, that Friday prayers will be determined by law and schedule.

And every Muslim believer who wants to perform his duty by praying in the mosque will have the time given for this destination. So, the official schedule will no longer be an obstacle for people to pray on Friday, which for Muslims is the day of prayer. This is not an ease, but an obligation and will be established immediately after May 11. I cannot but emphasize that our most excellent heritage is religious tolerance and I express my deepest admiration for the leaders of the Muslim Community and the leaders of religious communities in general and all Albanian clerics for their work, their wisdom and discernment in consolidating, further developing this excellent heritage. Once again, it is a day of honor for those who sacrificed, who fasted, but also for all clerics, imams, priests and for all those who sacrifice every day in the service of God and divine values.
