Eid al-Fitr/ Hundreds of believers from Korça pray at the Iljaz Bey

After the end of the holy month of Ramadan, hundreds of Muslim believers in Korça gathered on Sunday morning to pray the Eid al-Fitr prayer.

The ceremony took place in the square of the Iljaz Bey Mirahori mosque, starting at around 07:30. The prayer rite was led by Mufti Ledian Cikalleshi, who conveyed his congratulations on this holy day, wishing peace and prosperity for all believers.

" Today is a great holiday for the Muslims of our country, all the Muslims of the city of Korça and all the Muslims around the world. Today their 30-day sacrifice of fasting is crowned. All Muslims, for 30 days in a row, fasted, tried to perform good deeds, stayed from breakfast to dinner away from food, drink and any other kind of pleasure, just to gain the pleasure of God. Today they crown the reward, crown the sacrifice and celebrate the holiday of Eid al-Fitr. I wish that Eid al-Fitr has found all Albanians, all Muslim believers, as well as possible and brings goodness and peace to their families. Happy Eid al-Fitr for many years ," said Mufti Ledian Cikalleshi.

Muslim believers have shown that Eid al-Fitr is the most special day for them, after the fasting month of Ramadan. They consider it a month of reconciliation and joy that comes after hardship. Among other things, believers exchanged greetings with each other, hoping for prosperity and harmony in their families.

" Eid al-Fitr symbolizes a great difficulty and a great duty as a month of reconciliation for all Muslim people and believers. On this occasion, I wish all believers joy, happiness, and peace in their families. It was not possible to fast this year. We will prepare something sweet, kadaif, baklava ," said a believer.

" Happy, happy many years and peace in the whole world, may we all be blessed. Yes, I fasted. Fasting is for all people ," said another believer.

In their statements to the media, believers have wished Eid al-Fitr and prayed that God will accept fasting and every good deed.

" God has given us this joy, that after a difficulty, we Muslim believers have been given the relief that is the holiday of Eid al-Fitr. The believer is not only there to pray, but also to help. I wish all believers and Albanians a happy Eid al-Fitr. May God accept every good deed and grant everyone good, " wished a believer.

" I myself did not fast, but my wife and daughter did. I am a believer, I come often. This is a truly special day, it makes me happy when I see so many people and so many young people who come here. We are five brothers and sisters and we get together to celebrate, we have it as a tradition in our family. I wish all believers that God brings you only prosperity and happiness ," said another believer.
