"Euro 2024"/ Government, 2 billion ALL for the AFL
The Albanian national team

The Albanian Football Federation will receive 200 million new lek financial support from the government for the qualification in "EURO 2024".

According to the VKM, the AFL is obliged to submit to the Ministry of Education and Sports, within the month of March 2024, the justifying documentation/bank transfers for the distribution of the fund according to the activity for which this fund will be used.

Government decision:

In support of Article 100 of the Constitution, Point 1, Article 13, of Law No. 79/2017, "On Sports", amended, Law No. 9936, dated 26.6.2008, "On the management of the budget system in Republic of Albania", amended, and Article 11 of Law No. 84/2022, "On the 2023 Budget", amended, with the proposal of the Minister of Education and Sports, the Council of Ministers

DECIDE:

1. Financing, in the amount of 200,000,000 (two hundred million) ALL, of the Albanian Football Federation (AFF), for the support of the National Football Team, within the framework of UEFA EURO 2024.

2. The fund determined, according to point 1, of this decision, is transferred to the account of the ALF in the second level bank "Union Bank", sh.a., with account number 111141628020115, and is covered by the approved budget for the year 2023 for the Ministry of Education and Sports, respectively, in the economic account 604 "Internal transfers", in the budget program 08140 "Sports development".

3. The AFL, within the month of March 2024, submits to the Ministry of Education and Sports the justifying documentation/bank transfers for the distribution of the fund according to the activity for which this fund will be used.

4. The Ministry of Education and Sports and the Albanian Football Federation are charged with the implementation of this decision.

This decision enters into force after publication in the "Official Gazette"./ CNA
