The McGonigal case/ Can SPAK investigate Rama?

The level of Prime Minister Rama's involvement in the McGonigal case will never be answered by SPAK.

This is what researcher Grid Rroji expressed, invited to the Review show on Euronews Albania.

According to him, no document can be made available to Albanian prosecutors or parliamentary commissions as long as it is under investigation in the USA.

"Even if the case is closed in the USA, this case in Albania will not be closed like that.

I have my doubts that even if this matter goes to SPAK it will be resolved. There is also a second, smaller issue that as long as the case is under trial in the American court, there is no chance that the facts will be transferred to SPAK. Because the process must first be closed at all levels and then that these facts do not go to the third hands. Even if the process is closed there is an issue that needs to be resolved between the two countries if there is confidential material.

In my opinion, it is a dead end that leads us nowhere with the investigations of the parliamentary commissions and SPAK, as the case will be tried in the American court", said Rroji. /CNA.al
