Orthodox believers celebrate the last week of Christ's life, officially called Passion Week, or as it is otherwise known, "Great Easter Week."

The Holy Great Wednesday Mass, otherwise known as the Third Service of the Groom, was held at the “Resurrection of Christ” Cathedral in the capital. This service was led by the Metropolitan of Apollonia and Fier, His Grace Nikola.

After the end of the mass, His Beatitude Archbishop Joani delivered the next speech where he gave messages to the faithful who closely followed the service. 

His Beatitude said that we can become like God only through His Grace, but sin always separates us from God.

" Man was created to be free. In all his actions, freedom is man himself. If we do not rebuild our freedom to follow the ways of God, freedom will cause us to perish. Man is free and capable of sinning, of turning away from God, but these things bring about the degradation of his nature. We can become like God only through his Grace, but sin always distances us from God. Sin is the breaking of a deep relationship between man and God. The sin of the first people was not only the violation of the commandment, it was the breaking of the relationship ," said His Beatitude./ CNA
