Open Day of the Bread & Heart International Architecture Festival/

For the first time in history, an important event related to the field of Architecture is being held in Albania.

“Bread & Heart”, a festival of hospitality, architecture and dialogue on the future, where global visionaries and local perspectives meet, exchange and inspire.

Prime Minister Edi Rama delivered his opening speech for this important event that brought together 150 architects from around the world.

Rama paralleled this event with the holy day of Eid al-Adha, stating that the coincidence of these two events is not coincidental, but rather a blessing.

The Prime Minister emphasized that architecture can transform not only space but also places, not only the place, but also the imagination of a community.

"It so happens that today is Eid al-Fitr, a holy day. It is a national holiday that is expected by all Albanians regardless of their faith."

Albania is not a country that attracts the most visionary architects with money or glitz; it attracts them with a more difficult vision, something full of life, unrepeatable.

This coming together is a new beginning on a holy day and I must say that I do not believe in coincidences, I invite you to feel the connection between the day and the new adventure. Let us take this day not as a coincidence but as a blessing.

"Honored architects who have come from both hemispheres of the world, architecture can transform not only space but also places, not only a place, but the imagination of a community. Dear friends, I wish you a warm welcome here in the pulsating heart of Tirana, an Albania that produces more architecture than any European country," said Rama./ CNA
