Flag Doxology/ Archbishop Joan: Mass exodus will not happen if we are good

Archbishop Joan, at the service for the Doxology of the Flag at the "Resurrection of Christ" Cathedral, gave important messages for all Albanians.

His Beatitude, John, explained that the repetition of prayers in church is not a coincidence, but a teaching of the church that many things we must constantly remember, so as not to forget.

He underlined the responsibility of every citizen to make the country the best place to live, making it flourish and blessed.

"A true patriot is one who contributes to the prosperity of his country, not one who curses others," he added.

Among other things, Archbishop Joan said that the mass exodus from the country will not happen if we are good stewards of our country.

In conclusion, Archbishop Joan wished all believers and Albanians:

"May God bless our country, our people, and spread peace not only here, but throughout the world. Happy and blessed day for many years to come!"

In church we say over and over again in peace let us pray to God.

Why do we repeat them over and over? We repeat them because we might forget them, and the church in its wisdom has taught us that we need to repeat many things.

Today we do a Doxology of the Flag.

Why has the church established such services? For two very important reasons. The first is to thank God, and we repeat it repeatedly that we have many reasons to thank Him for giving us a beautiful place that has everything and we are in this part of the globe as the stewards of this wealth. “The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it,” says the Psalmist, which means that the owner of the entire earth is God, which means that we are the stewards and our responsibility is to be good stewards, to try to make this place flourish and bless it.

If we make it a good place where people can live in peace and harmony, obviously not many people will leave. Always for this reason that some people may leave.

But a mass exodus will not happen if we are good stewards of this land that God has entrusted to us.

We thank God for everything He has given us, but He has also given us responsibility for this.

The responsibility is everyone's. Everyone in the country where they work tries to bless and flourish this country, and as I constantly say, a true patriot is the person who flourishes his country, not the person who curses others.

It is enough for us to do our duty to make our country flourish; we have done our duty before the church, before the nation, and before God.
