Rama/Kikia's statements: Repeated refrain, government's attempt to

Journalist Mentor Kikia has commented on the statements made by Prime Minister Edi Rama at today's meeting of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group. Invited to Euronews, Kikia described Rama's statements against justice as a repeated refrain in the last two months.

"It was a refrain repeated at least in the last two months several times. On the one hand, he is exposed as the guardian of justice reform, and on the other hand, he talks about sticks under the wheels, prosecutors' revenge. Rama is trying to package it as a need to intervene and improve some things, but he will also package it as an intervention without affecting the independence of this institution ," said Kikia.

Among other things, the journalist said that he sees the head of government's rhetoric towards justice as an attempt by the government and the prime minister to victimize themselves.

"The harsh rhetoric towards the Prosecution Office leads to a sense of incomprehension as to why it was necessary. Regarding the "Balluku" issue, there was no need to make all this fuss. All this hysteria seems to go beyond the Balluku issue. I saw it as an attempt to victimize the government in general. All this seems to me to be a perfect public relations exercise to create in the public the perception that some forces outside the political will of the government want to create obstacles to moving forward. An attempt to sell the majority as victimized in this whole story. There is an attempt to gain public admiration through this dimension", the journalist said. /CNA
